Better Beach Rentals in Southport, North Carolina

“Communication thru the app is non existent but once we use the number provided we received the answers we needed. Our last day was during tropical depression, Arthur, and there was no electricity not only at the Airbnb but throughout the whole city so we had to leave. All in all was enjoyable staying right on the ocean would just wonder if due to the tropical depression, we could receive a refund?”

“Great location, convenient to downtown but not in the middle of it, so it’s quiet and peaceful. Nice community with ample parking, good pool, and riverfront view with beach access. We had couple issues, first there was a musty smell when we arrived, dissipated slowly over a couple days but came back when it rained, not a huge deal but expected better since it had been addressed in other reviews. Also, was not provided with a code to the pool/beach area, but was able to get one from the office. Biggest issue/annoyance, was the lack of cooking basics. Theres no spices or oil as listed, nor is there coffee filters or even dish soap, so plan to bring EVERYTHING except dishes/pots/glasses. There is also an app you have to download in order to get the wifi code, this was annoying because I didnt have service to download anything from the room-wish it had just been posted in the room . Lastly, for over $200 a night in the off season, I felt the checkout tasks were a bit excessive.”

“Very nice room, nice furnishing. Beds very comfortable. We didn't do much cooking, but was happy with the coffee maker and toaster. Price was great. My biggest problem was there was a musty smell that hit you in the face when walking in. The Air conditioner was very loud and made sitting on the balcony unpleasant. The balcony furnishing was not comfortable if we had wanted to sit there.”
