“Little Bear Cabin was great. It was very cozy, and the loft was pretty neat. The bedroom with the kind bed has windows on one side which was really cool to wake up to in the morning. The air conditioners in each room worked great to keep it cool and comfortable. The view of the gorge was cool, and you could see the rafting busses dropping people off throughout the day (we went rafting and could look up and see our cabin nestled on the mountain!). If you see the street sign in the neighborhood that says “gorge overlook” there is a private picnic table you can walk or drive to. The proximity to the Nantahala river was great, as well as nearby lakes (Nantahala Lake, lake Santeetlah, Fontana, and Queens Creek up in the mountains). I would like to thank the owners for making it a pet friendly place, they even left a box of dog toys that our dog Mel enjoyed. The fenced in area next to the cabin is perfect to let the dog get some outside time without having to tie her up.”

“Stayed here on my drive from Texas to NC and overall not a bad stay. I am very sensitive to the smell of cigarettes and as soon as we walked in you could smell it. This house definitely has a history of smokers. It was clean but very cluttered. The views and back porch were the best part of the trip but I wouldn’t stay here again.”
