“We enjoyed our stay in Newland and found the home clean, comfortable, and well-suited for our family gathering. The first-floor bedroom with an en suite bathroom was perfect for my 80-year-old mother and made her stay much easier. The kitchen was a highlight. It was well-equipped, and the gas stove was excellent for preparing meals, although the space was a bit tight in places. A few things future guests should note: the driveway is quite steep, which can make getting in and out of vehicles challenging, especially for older guests. Also, because of the addition containing the primary suite and extra living area, there are quite a few stairs throughout the home. The living and dining areas felt somewhat cramped due to the large furniture, though the furniture itself was very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, made great family memories, and would recommend the home to others visiting the Newland area.”

“We had two small children and four adults. It was perfect for the kids and parents downstairs and the older adults upstairs. Heated floors in the main bathroom! It was clean, well stocked and exactly as pictured and described. The location made it easy to attend the Highland Games and go to Grandfather Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad. Everyone rated it five stars as a vacation house!”

“This is a beautiful cabin in a private neighborhood. I would recommend 4x4 but it was easy to find even in the dark. I saw deer and rabbits. Beautifully furnished and quiet. Would recommend for anyone visiting Grandfather Mountain or even Banner Elk. Also if the owner knows where the rug in the living room is from, message me. Will be back!”

“Despite not being able to get in due to the door cose not working and difficulty in communicating with the after our support staff due to network difficulties the place itself was very similar to the description. It was big enough for 3 families with kids. Quiet and Nature was the bonus and the creek added to the charm.”

“Beautiful cabin, my family and I enjoyed it. Busy weekend with wedding plans so I didn’t spend a whole lot of time there however it was fantastic would definitely recommend.”
