“Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay and not what we expected from the listing. The second “detached home” is actually a trailer/manufactured home, which was not clear before booking. For our group of 10, there was no comfortable indoor common area large enough for everyone to gather. The detached home had a strong mildew-like odor, a nonworking main light, and very uneven temperatures. Outdoor areas had significant dirt, leaves, and spiderwebs. Several deck chairs were loose and wobbly, the trash was already full, and the kitchen needed additional cleaning. There were also safety concerns: a badly warped rug under the foosball table nearly caused my wife to fall, and uneven exterior planks near the stairs created another tripping hazard. The pullout sofa also had no comforter, and the outdoor string lights were broken. The property needs significant TLC. Our experience was poor enough that we left one day early and would not stay here again.”

“The house was good and matched the description, the location was also nice and private. Host was not responsive nor helpful and made planning some of our activities difficult.”

“Loved our stay there - GREAT PLACE!! It was worth every penny. I do want to share some advice - if you want to rent the boat - be very clear. I inquired and was told to take the boaters class and we’d work it out later. So - $90 and a few hours of a Saturday I was done. When we arrived I asked again about the boat and the management company told me I needed to inquire 72 hours ahead of time. I pointed out I did and they said they’d see what they could do. As a Dad facing some disappointing kids, while they were looking into it I rented from “mikes” rentals - boom and done - great time was had by all- despite this hiccup this house is wonderful- the owners are great- and I could have been more clear in my communication as well. We loved it the stay.”
