Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals reviews in Macon, North Carolina

“Our family of seven stayed at the home for a week. The space was awesome and we enjoyed being able to spread out, play games, hang in the den, or fish and boat. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. There is enough room to tie up a pontoon at the dock. Kayaks, canoe, paddle boards, and all the floats were in good condition. We will be back!!!”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Haven. It was in a great location (20 min from Eaton Ferry Bridge) and situated in a cozy yet spacious cove. Upon arrival we had to sweep up dead (and some live) large ants and inch worms. They repeatedly popped up on countertops & floors throughout our stay. We also had the unfortunate privilege of seeing two large cockroaches. The grill proved to be a bit of a challenge as it had not been cleaned in awhile and large amounts of grease and debris were encrusted in it. A large fire started up the minute we lit it. Think the entire home could benefit from a deep clean and refresh . We very much enjoyed the swimming area; the water was clean and not too deep. The green water pad was a big hit with the kids, as was the kayaks with both the kids and adults. Indoor activities were also above and beyond -”

“A wonderful place for a family gathering. We loved the location on the lake with views of the main lake but tucked away for shade and privacy. The home was exactly as pictured. The grill was fantastic as was the fire pit. Plenty of space for everyone. We had some difficulty finding the right thermostat setting because the lower level got very cold. The water is also a bit shallow right at the dock but we still navigated the boat just fine.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Haven with family over Father’s Day weekend. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and fun, and we loved being able to bring our own boat and launch right next door. The cove is beautiful and this is a very convenient and great part of the lake. Our kids loved the Xbox, pool table, foosball, hammock, and kayaks!”

“House was great...Plenty to do inside and out...the house was well stocked.”
