Lake Gaston Vacation Rentals

“This was our second family trip to Lake It Easy, and it won't be the last. If you are looking for peaceful surroundings and amazing views, I highly recommend staying here during the off season. The dock is deep enough for my 26ft bowrider and our bass boat, and there are restaurants (boat accessible), grocery stores, and a coffee shop just around the corner. The house is amazing and includes everything you need for your stay to include keeping the grandkids entertained! If you enjoy a cup of coffee at sunrise on the dock and watching the deer walk around the yard, this is the place for you.”

“The house and surroundings were absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group! We had 4 small babies with us and there was plenty of room for all 4 families! The covered dock was so helpful when it came to keeping the babies in the shade! Unfortunately when we arrived to the house there was no hot water and all gas appliances weren’t working. We called the rental company and were originally told it wasn’t an emergency and someone would come out basically in a week (when we are gone) to fix it. We had to elevate the problem and they ended up refilling the houses propane tank right away. But it did take some aggressive conversation to get them to do so. We also recommend bringing extra bath towels and towels for the kitchen (there were none). One bath towel per person is not nearly enough and we used a lot of paper towels in the kitchen. But despite all this, we will definitely be back! The house and lake access were so beautiful and the privacy was perfect! Highly recommend!”

“My family had a wonderful stay. The home felt brand new and was squeaky clean. Location was perfect on Lake Gaston and the dock was super easy to use with our boat. 10 out of 10 and we will be booking again next spring!”

“My family and the two families we were with really enjoyed the house. Great location on the cove. There were two things, both relatively minor, that left more to be desired. 1) The house was selectively clean upon arrival; 2) not sure how this house can be listed as sleeping “16+”; fortunately we made both work. But besides those things, it was a pleasant weekend!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Littleton, Lake Gaston. The house was in a great location, and the lake was so peaceful. We were multiple families and the rooms worked out well. We were disappointed that we had to make our own beds and unload the dishwasher when we arrived. Also, there were no trash bags in any of the trash cans including the bathrooms. The house was beautiful but needed maintenance. Some of the door latches weren’t working properly, leaving with us with no privacy in our rooms. Two of the toilets were very wobbly, possibly not fastened to the floor correctly. The walkway to the dock is rotting out and one of the kids fell through. Parking was tight and the Crepe Myrtle tree scrapped our vehicles. Landscaping was overgrown and not maintained. After the grass was cut there was a foul smell. Maybe septic issues? With some upgrades future visits would be wonderful.”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Haven. It was in a great location (20 min from Eaton Ferry Bridge) and situated in a cozy yet spacious cove. Upon arrival we had to sweep up dead (and some live) large ants and inch worms. They repeatedly popped up on countertops & floors throughout our stay. We also had the unfortunate privilege of seeing two large cockroaches. The grill proved to be a bit of a challenge as it had not been cleaned in awhile and large amounts of grease and debris were encrusted in it. A large fire started up the minute we lit it. Think the entire home could benefit from a deep clean and refresh . We very much enjoyed the swimming area; the water was clean and not too deep. The green water pad was a big hit with the kids, as was the kayaks with both the kids and adults. Indoor activities were also above and beyond -”

“The house was large enough for multiple families, was in a great location on the lake, our kids loved the pool table! The house was a bit beat up though, general cleaning was done but not deep cleaning. The garage apartment was not ready for us when we got there. The next day they had a cleaner but when it was "done" it had a strong order that was hard to be in and there were spiders and webs still, so I would not stay in that apartment, felt bad for the family that had that space. The dock was in bad shape, lots of rotted wood. The kitchen was large, the home had plenty of space, the views were beautiful and the dock was useable and a great place to hang out by the water. They did not have kayaks or other lake toys as stated in their book and hand towels were missing too. It was a little tricky to find. Could be a great place, just needs some repairs and love!”
