“The house was enormous, beautiful, and just as described. The view of the lake was unbeatable. The house and kitchen were well stocked, giving the impression that it was a home people have lived in rather than a rental property. It was very clean and everything was in working order. The highlight was absolutely the 2-level boathouse stocked with kayaks and paddle boards. We had a great time.”

“We had a wonderful week at the lake!! Hope we can book again for next year. Place was perfect for our family of 5 -- plenty of room. Older kids had their own space downstairs. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed meals on the beautiful deck. We had no problem tying our boat up at the dock. Wish we were still there!!!”

“Please don’t book this home, because we want it all to ourselves! Haha. Great place! The home was big and fit my entire extended family of 17 people very comfortably. The house was clean and well furnished. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The dock was fantastic and the location on the lake is amazing. The bottom of the lake shallow, clean and a great place to hang out. We are hoping to make this the home we rent every summer going forward!”

“We had a wonderful stay at Littleton, Lake Gaston. The house was in a great location, and the lake was so peaceful. We were multiple families and the rooms worked out well. We were disappointed that we had to make our own beds and unload the dishwasher when we arrived. Also, there were no trash bags in any of the trash cans including the bathrooms. The house was beautiful but needed maintenance. Some of the door latches weren’t working properly, leaving with us with no privacy in our rooms. Two of the toilets were very wobbly, possibly not fastened to the floor correctly. The walkway to the dock is rotting out and one of the kids fell through. Parking was tight and the Crepe Myrtle tree scrapped our vehicles. Landscaping was overgrown and not maintained. After the grass was cut there was a foul smell. Maybe septic issues? With some upgrades future visits would be wonderful.”

“Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Haven. It was in a great location (20 min from Eaton Ferry Bridge) and situated in a cozy yet spacious cove. Upon arrival we had to sweep up dead (and some live) large ants and inch worms. They repeatedly popped up on countertops & floors throughout our stay. We also had the unfortunate privilege of seeing two large cockroaches. The grill proved to be a bit of a challenge as it had not been cleaned in awhile and large amounts of grease and debris were encrusted in it. A large fire started up the minute we lit it. Think the entire home could benefit from a deep clean and refresh . We very much enjoyed the swimming area; the water was clean and not too deep. The green water pad was a big hit with the kids, as was the kayaks with both the kids and adults. Indoor activities were also above and beyond -”

“The house was large enough for multiple families, was in a great location on the lake, our kids loved the pool table! The house was a bit beat up though, general cleaning was done but not deep cleaning. The garage apartment was not ready for us when we got there. The next day they had a cleaner but when it was "done" it had a strong order that was hard to be in and there were spiders and webs still, so I would not stay in that apartment, felt bad for the family that had that space. The dock was in bad shape, lots of rotted wood. The kitchen was large, the home had plenty of space, the views were beautiful and the dock was useable and a great place to hang out by the water. They did not have kayaks or other lake toys as stated in their book and hand towels were missing too. It was a little tricky to find. Could be a great place, just needs some repairs and love!”
