“We enjoyed the peace and quiet up on the hillside. The hot tub was relaxing, and the house was very well-appointed. Definitely would need 4-wheel-drive in tricky weather, but that was spelled out clearly, and we had clear skies. Would definitely book this cabin again. Super close to Lansing and West Jefferson, not too far from Boone. Great to sit on the deck, space out listening to the birds and the night sounds.”

“This cabin is exactly as described and pictured. The setting is private and peaceful, with beautiful views. The cabin is exceptionally clean, up to date, and the decor is very tasteful (and uncluttered) and comfortable. Bedding and linens/towels are nice quality. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, and the appliances are all in great shape! We spent several hours hiking in the area, every day: Stone Mountain, New River State Park, and up to Grayson Highlands. Downtown West Jefferson looked attractive and interesting—we’ll look at that more another time. We also appreciated the large pantry area, and the extra space (wooden side shelves) for all the food we brought as we made our breakfasts & dinners, and packed our lunches for hiking. Also liked all the built-ins in the master bathroom that kept the countertop uncluttered. Overall, just such a pleasant and comfortable stay. Host is very helpful and responsive. We’ll definitely be back!”
