“Great spot! A little staycation on the water with all my friends was fantastic. Lots of space to cook and hang out. Tons of games and MANY decks of cards. The upper porch was great with the trees giving us nice shade. The dock worked well with our boat despite the high traffic down that cove. Very clean and super fun!”

“What a lovely house! Great view of the surrounding mountains and a small slice of Lake Lure, I’m sure the winter views of the lake are better. There were 9 of us and the bedrooms were very capable of giving each of us our own space, spread out and private. The living space is adequate for a large group especially if the weather is good and you can spread out onto the screened porch. The kitchen was VERY well stocked, spices, olive oil, baking dishes etc. Our visit included a birthday celebration and we even found champagne glasses for the toast! Lake Lure was a 3 minute drive, we took paddle boards and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We set up at Lake Lure Beach and then walked our boards over to a small park where they allow paddle boards to be put in the water. The management team was professional, the only thing I will say is that the contract made me worry about everything, it’s definitely a business transaction versus a homeowner renting their house to you.”

“We booked this property on short notice & one of our top criteria was easy lake access. Many houses on the lake sit very high on the slopes & there can be many stair steps to get to the lake. This property has approx 40 stepping stones that are not as steep as stairs. Note that none of the pictures in the listing clearly shows this, and when we inquired, the property mgmt company was unable to provide additional pics. There are 2 rafts/floats and 2 kayaks in the boat house, so that was a big "plus" for our rating. The property faces SSW, so from noon on, the boat dock was in the sun and also on the front of the house. The AC kept up even while afternoons were in the high 80's, but note that they are wall units so they will be noisy inside compared to conventional central air systems. We found trash in the chairs on the boathouse, dusty shelves on the bathroom, and some not so clean dishes, plus lots of ants in the kitchen/dining area. Also, watch out for bears!”

“Perfect family vacation! This house is comfortable and spacious with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces for the whole family to hang out. The dock and boathouse were so fun that our kids didn’t want to leave the house, and we ended up just doing grocery runs and eating in. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking. And we had a wonderful time staying in and watching movies or playing board games in the super comfy living room.”
