“So first off the place is beautiful, It looks like the pictures. It’s not rundown and would be a lovely place to stay. Now why the one star review. The bed is the worst bed I’ve ever laid on. It is so soft you sink to the boxsprings, it has zero support. So my first night there I slept about two hours after taking pain medicine. I had a wedding I was in the next day. After the wedding, we did not stay the second night and drove 1.5 hours home all because the bed was that bad. I contacted Vacasa and explained the problem and was told they would contact me, they never have. It’s been weeks now and I have yet to hear from them to see if they would compensate me for not staying the second night. We paid $524 for two nights and I couldn’t even sleep and was in pain because the bed made my back hurts so bad. Might not be a lot of money to some, but that’s a lot of money just to take showers. I hope they make this right. Daniel Pinkerton.”

“We loved this unit! It was very spacious and well-outfitted! Close to the amenities of Chinquapin: hiking, frisbee golf, fitness, pickle ball, etc. Beautiful autumn colors to view out the windows. Good response when we had a view questions. Would definitely come back!”

“What a perfect place to stay in the NC mountains! We got to the mountains several times a year with our motorcycle(in a 6x12’ trailer). This property accommodated our F150 and trailer with no issues. The view from the landing at the front door was amazing. The bed was so comfy it was hard to get out to start our riding! Watching tv in the den on the loveseat was so cozy with the throw blankets. This will probably become our go to place. Great spot to ride from to see the mountains, waterfalls,etc. The road to the apartment is winding and sooo much fun on the bike! Update: Already booked for our honeymoon stay next Sept!!!”
