“I booked this secluded home last minute and may have missed important details. Pros: Bring a 4x4 vehicle, especially in wet or icy weather. House is definitely off the beaten path. The host provides firewood for the fire pit and propane grill is available. The kitchen is well-stocked, house has laundry detergent and a full-sized washer, dryer. Towels, soaps, shampoo, and conditioner are included. Lots of new appointments. Cons: Numerous light bulbs were out, and electric fixtures flickered in the upstairs bathroom. The running dishwasher and hairdryer blew the circuit breaker. The outdoor table was coming apart, and the grill was rusty and missing parts. The Ring cameras everywhere made me uncomfortable. The lawn was mowed during our stay, and neighbors visited, giving me the feeling of being watched. I won’t return to this property. Avant-Stay was responsive, but I’ll consider other properties they manage.”
