“This is a beautiful, warm, and romantic place to stay. The view of the mountains is amazing from the porch. It has a well-stocked kitchen with all the appliances you need. The home was clean. However, when we walked in, there was a moderate number of stink bugs that were dead on the floor and in the window sills. Also, some were alive, occasionally buzzing around. Not harmful, but annoying if bugs creep you out. Someone left the upstairs door to the porch open, so that's likely the reason they were in there. The furniture in the living room was somewhat uncomfortable. We just couldnt find a comfortable position to watch football. The living room needs an L-shaped microfiber or more comfortable and plush leather couch, in my opinion. The bed in the master was average. The hot water in the showers wasn't hot enough for our liking, and the water pressure/shower heads were not our favorite. I would rate it a 4.2/5. The view is a 5/5.”

“The cabin is beautiful and full of unique handmade touches that gave it so much character. The view from the porch is beautiful with long scape Mountain View’s. The bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There were spices, olive oil, and non stick sprays in the kitchen pantry that were good to have on hand. The porch also had a fire pit which was a nice touch when grilling out. The atmosphere was very peaceful. I would highly recommend 4WD or AWD as the road leading up to the cabin is an about a mile long single lane steep gravel road with hairpin turns and some places that have washed out exposing red clay mud.”

“We traveled to Franklin to hike the Nantahala National Forest, and this place did not disappoint. It is only a short drive to a grocery store and gas, and also a central location to many hiking trails throughout North Carolina. It had wonderful fall color in early October, plenty of space, games, and streaming services. Beds were comfy and shower was hot!”
