The place was very secluded and very peaceful. I enjoyed the cabin and property very much.

Absolutely beautiful property that looks just like the photos. Kitchen was fully stocked with high end pans and appliances. Coffee was both a pot and Keurig. Tons of dishes, bowls, utensils, etc. Gas cooktop. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were not the cheap scratchy linens. Each upstairs bedroom had a twin roll away bed with linens in addition to the queen bed. The kids loved the game room and board games. The back porch was comfortable and peaceful. Fenced yard was great for kids and dogs. Most dog friendly home we have ever stayed in with beds, blankets, and bowls. The north pavilion was a three minute walk and had a dog park, basketball, soccer, and a restaurant. Winery was less than a three minute drive. The neighborhood is beautiful and full of amenities. Guest can go to the Chophouse. Warning: the home is 15 minutes from the neighborhood entrance. The entrance is 7 minutes to Banner Elk. The drive to the home is beautiful but a lot of switchbacks and heights.

The property was significantly different from the listing. The second "bedroom" is an open loft with no air conditioning or privacy. The property is not truly waterfront; there is only a tiny creek down the driveway that isn't visible from the cabin. There was no dishwasher despite being listed. Worse, the game room walls were covered in mold, the sleeper sofa linens smelled like they had been put away wet, and the upstairs shower leaked into the downstairs bedroom. We reported the problems the morning of July 3. It took until evening July 4 for them to find a replacement, and we didn't receive confirmation until we followed up on July 5. At the 2nd property, the fridge was unplugged, hot and moldy, and we had to sanitize it. We had to replace groceries that spoiled while we relocated and then waited for the fridge to cool. Communication required repeated follow-ups. We ultimately lost nearly half our vacation dealing with issues that should have been addressed before check-in.

This house was incredible. The open concept upstairs with the ability to fully open one of the living room walls to the top deck was amazing. The view outside of the house is stunning and I could have sit on one of the deck's rocking chairs all day and been completely happy. The outside couch area with a fireplace and tv were really nice for late night hang outs. The house is equipped with so many amenities that made our stay so easy - an ice maker in the downstairs wet bar, sonos speakers throughout the entire home and on the deck, new kitchen sponge, and plenty of space. I highly recommend this place for a trip and hope to go back one day. We also walked to the winery in the neighborhood had had a great afternoon there.
