“What an amazing and special place!!! Even though I’ve been to WNC and Black Mountain since I was a kid, I haven’t experienced a stay or view like this before. The cabin was cute and cozy, and the view from our own back porch was the best. About a 20 min drive to downtown Black Mountain, but could still have an amazing time without ever leaving the area, it was great sometimes to just stay and enjoy the cabin and surrounding grounds. Instructions provided to drive up to the property were very descriptive and helpful. I already miss waking up there to the mountains already!”

“My family stayed at Bair Necessities while we moved my nephew into college at Montreat. This cabin was even better in person. For being a real cabin in the woods, this place was super clean! We loved the decor and statues. The hot tub was so clean and nice. We enjoyed the fire pit and was the peace and serenity we needed during this emotional transition in our lives at the moment. Everything about this cabin from the pictures on the wall, all the available necessities for the kitchen, gorgeous bedrooms, fun basement to the natural wood stairway was absolutely breathtaking. We will definitely like to back for a longer stay!”

“This cabin is quite the gem! The path getting up to the cabin was long and winding, but we were able to easily make it up with our sedan. Make sure to follow the directions that the hosts provide for easiest access to the property. The cabin, itself, was cute and quaint. It was just the right size to comfortably fit the two of us. The campus that this cabin sits on is truly paradise. The views are incredible, the common spaces are bountiful and equipped with everything you could need, and the atmosphere is serene and allows you to fully unplug and recenter yourself. The lights around the campus on the various trees at night was a nice touch to bring some character and charm. The hosts were kind, generous, proactive, and very quick to respond. This place is truly a slice of heaven that I would recommend to anyone! You are only about 12-15 minutes from downtown black mountain and there are a myriad of hikes in the area to explore. Don't pass up this place if it is available!”
