“This rental had so many great amenities. We loved the hot tub. The screened in porch was perfect for sipping coffee and listening to the nature that surrounds you. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, plates, and utensils etc. The coffee station was stocked and even had a frother. The downtown of Black Mountain is so quaint. Very walkable with lots of shops and restaurants. From Black Mountain it’s a short drive to downtown Asheville. The host was very quick to respond to questions and able to help with resolutions that arise.”

“Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to a brewery and a restaurant. The decor was cute. Just to be clear, this is a single wide trailer. The bathroom wasn't cleaned super well. This particular weekend with lots of rain, there were a few spiders in the house. A good jumping off point for exploring the town, but we didn't want to "hang" much.”

“The house was the perfect space for my bachelorette party! Big kitchen and super nice wrap around deck with hot tub. Fair warning the driveway to get up to the house is pretty treacherous. They also do not have any coffee, food prep spray or condiments so make sure to bring your own. Highly recommend if you want a nice weekend out of the city and deep in the picturesque nature of the mountains.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb! The view is beautiful & as pictured (unless it’s raining & the clouds block it out). Definitely take note that it requires a 25 minute drive along a remote & very windy road to get to the Airbnb after you take the exit (45 minutes total to downtown AVL). Given the remote location & price point, we were surprised to see that there was no coffee / coffee pods in the kitchen and no bathroom amenities (body wash, shampoo, conditioner) - the kitchen was otherwise well stocked in terms of cooking & serving ware.”

“The location of this house was extremely convenient to Black Mountain and lots of outdoor activity. Hot tub was wonderful to soak in after hiking. Screened porch lovely for sitting on and listening to breeze in the trees. Could use more chairs at the fire pit, only three when we stayed, but a nice ledge around it for kids to sit on. Host was very responsive. Enjoyed our stay!”

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found the location to be absolutely beautiful. The cabin itself was very cute and cozy upon arrival, and the Black Mountain area made for a peaceful getaway. That said, there were a few things we wish had been communicated beforehand. The drive up to the cabin involves a very steep grade, which caught us off guard. Had we taken my fiancée’s SUV like she originally wanted, I genuinely do not think we would have made it up safely, so more transparency about the access conditions would have been appreciated. The cabin could also use some maintenance. The exhaust fan worked intermittently, and we noticed spiders getting inside fairly easily during our stay. We encountered several, including one in the bed with us, which was not ideal. Despite those concerns, the cabin had charm and the setting was beautiful. With a few maintenance improvements and clearer expectations about accessibility, this could be an even better stay.”
