“We were so excited about spending our first wedding anniversary at Wolf River Retreat, unfortunately very early on we realized we wouldn’t be able to stay at the property. A King bed was advertised (one of the reasons I booked it), and a Queen bed is what was in the room. It was also very hard - it would have hurt to sleep on the bed. The cabin was really cute on the inside - but there were rat droppings on top of the cabinet, and one of the exterior doors would not lock. We did, thankfully receive a full refund (after advocating for it), but these things need to get fixed before I could recommend this Wolf River Retreat. A good rule of thumb, if there are only two reviews, you might want to book some place else!”

“This Airbnb is accurately pictured and described in the listing. For us, it was the right location and the right size for the number of guests and worked out well for a weekend. Things to note - the upstairs (master bedroom) mattress is super soft and not great. My parents were unable to sleep well there. The other three beds were fine - noise travels through this house. I could hear the upstairs (top floor) footsteps all the way in the basement - they state it in their rules but they are very strict on check out time (additional fees for even an hour later) and also they are strict on what they provide - my first experience with an Airbnb that gives you one roll of paper towel, no sugar with the coffee, etc Anyway very well organized, strong communication and nice spot but definitely run by a mgmt company of some sort.”
