“If you're rafting the Nantahala, this is probably the most convenient location possible. We loved the fact that it had 5 actual bedrooms and the beds were pretty new and comfortable with high-quality sheets. However there are a few things which aren't obvious from the listing that you should know about. - It has a distinct "old house" musty mildew smell. They have put air fresheners in most rooms to try and deal with it. - It's right on the road, and I mean the front door is 20 feet away. It's noisy with large trucks coming by all night. - There is creek/river behind the property that is nice in theory. However, there is no way to get down to it, and it's so far below the house you really can't see it. - The wifi is satellite, and it never worked while we were there. The mobile phone reception is pretty bad too, so you're going to be cut off. There is one TV, but it needs internet to work, so there is really no use in it even being there. Bring a deck of cards! LOL!”

“We greatly enjoyed our stay here along the Wesser river/stream! We enjoyed the outdoor space for campfires while the kiddos chased fireflies. The house was perfect for our stay and the host was so quick to respond to any questions. The location to Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) was ideal. We look forward to staying again.”

“Beware of AI generated photos and reviews. This place catfished!! The home is right off an extremely busy highway with Semi trucks. Homeless walk right beside the home and appear to hangout when unoccupied. The front door did not lock, windows were open and unlocked throughout. The ODOR in this home was horrible and stains covered furniture. The beds looked like cots. I became physically ill upon entering because I knew it was a scam. The host couldn’t have cared less and offered air freshener but there was already air freshener. The upstairs had three of the bedrooms but it was extremely hot and the AC did not seem to work. I could not stay at this place, it felt so dangerous with cars and semis flying by literally 5 feet from home. Trash covered the property. I have nothing good to say about this place other than Air bnb listening to my concerns and refunded 100%”
