I stayed there for a month and it was wonderful! The unit matches the pictures and the description almost perfectly, just some small changes. The floor seems to have been renewed (and it's perfect) and some pieces of the furniture are slightly different, but no negative surprises. Urban Furnished was a great host, they answered very quickly to any questions and were always very helpful. Just to mention one fact, one day the heating system of the building was not working properly. I pointed this out and in less than 30 minutes they provided an electric heater. The next day the problem with the heating in the building was solved. The area is really nice, full of good restaurants, and in general relatively quiet (to be in Midtown Manhattan). Columbus Circle is just 10 minutes walking distance. I would definitely go back there.

The location is excellent—Hell's Kitchen, easy walk to theaters and restaurants, great neighborhood. I arrived January 2nd to find the apartment had no heat. With temperatures in the teens outside, this wasn't a minor inconvenience. An HVAC technician came, determined it couldn't be fixed, and left space heaters—one of which stopped working. When I contacted the host, I was told a unit on the 3rd floor was clean and ready for me to move into at 6pm. I went to check it out before moving my things, and it was anything but clean—unmade bed, dirty dishes, generally filthy. I had to wait another 24 hours to get into an acceptable unit, which happened to be my birthday. So not the way I wanted to spend my birthday The building itself has a persistent unpleasant smell in the common areas. Once I finally got settled in the new unit, it was functional, though the washer was difficult to use. The host's communication left something to be desired, though Airbnb support was helpful.
