“The good: Great old House with lots of room, interesting spaces, and plenty of bathrooms. The wrap around porch is great when the weather allows. The host is a good guy who wants your stay to be pleasant. The not so good: 1) We were unaware that Tom, lives onsite in a private area. This is hidden deep in the property description and not made clear in the arrival communication, using the term "Local Contact" instead. Tom is great, but knowing ahead would have made a big difference 2) The house is 150 years old. Expect creaky floors, steep stairs, and some unusual home improvements. No central air, but window A/C in the bedrooms. 3) My biggest gripe is with RedAwning Rentals, not Tom, or the property itself. Everything about them and their communication reeks of impersonal, institutionalized AI speak.”

“We did not like it as it’s a very old house, floors shake when you walk, furniture makes sound and seems like they are about to fall on your head, heating system is not at all good, heat does not go beyond 67F, window ACs have open gaps, barely covered, spider nets are in many corners, doors do not lock properly. However beds are good, plenty of bathrooms. Airbnb photographers did a fabulous job while taking pictures. We couldn’t guess how old the house is looking at the pictures. Otherwise we would have booked something else.”
