Urban Furnished in Brooklyn, New York

“The apartment was great for our month-long stay in Brooklyn. It is conveniently accessible via public transportation, just a few blocks from a G subway stop and there are several bus lines too. It is clean, quiet and bright (north facing but has floor-to-ceiling windows). The bed was reasonably comfortable. The pictures don't show it but now there is a roller shade over the main window in the living room (similar to the one in the bedroom). There is substantial closet space. The kitchen was well equipped, we cooked several times without a problem. The rooftop was accessible and there was a table and some chairs, but no shade. The neighborhood is great, there are plenty of good restaurants around and some supermarkets are also close. The Urban Furnished team was very responsive, both before and during the stay. (E.g. we had the hair dryer missing and they provided a new one within two days of notifying them.) We had a great stay there.”

“The rental was up one flight of stairs above a bar. The bar played amplified music from late afternoon to early morning most days. I wasn’t able to block it out using earplugs. I reached out a few times, but didn’t receive a substantive response to this undisclosed noise issue from the host. The front bedroom faced a major street, and the back windows faced the bar’s patio. Outside conversations carried through the windows clearly. I felt like I was living above a house party, and renting from an absentee host, though maybe heavy sleepers will have a better experience. The unit itself was comfortable and the location convenient.”

“Nice clean apartment in the heart of greenpoint. Such a walkable location to great bars, restaurants and the train.”

“The unit itself matched the photos and was actually more spacious than we expected. It was also clean upon arrival and location is super convenient. However, there are a few important things to be aware of. The apartment is located in a run down building and it sits directly above a VERY noisy bar. Additionally, it’s on a loud, busy street. The noise was a constant issue during our stay. The kitchen is extremely small and not well-suited for longer stays or for anyone planning to cook. While the space looks nice at first glance, the overall quality and noise level made the experience unfavorable.”
