Nice clean apartment in the heart of greenpoint. Such a walkable location to great bars, restaurants and the train.

The unit itself matched the photos and was actually more spacious than we expected. It was also clean upon arrival and location is super convenient. However, there are a few important things to be aware of. The apartment is located in a run down building and it sits directly above a VERY noisy bar. Additionally, it’s on a loud, busy street. The noise was a constant issue during our stay. The kitchen is extremely small and not well-suited for longer stays or for anyone planning to cook. While the space looks nice at first glance, the overall quality and noise level made the experience unfavorable.

This unit is directly above a bar with music, patrons, and a back patio that can be heard inside the unit until 3-4a. None of this was not disclosed in the description. City quiet hours are 10p - 7a. Jazz Night Sunday 6-10p is loud but the band is good. The Good: location, contactless check-in The Bad: Seems like nobody inspected the unit prior to move in. The WiFi, W/D, hot water, and toaster didn't work. Both vacuums and the toilet were clogged. Hot water went out 3 times requiring maintenance during our stay. One smoke detector was missing, and the other two were missing the batteries. Numerous noise complaints during our stay to the city. Host auto turned mobile key off prior to end of stay and got locked out. The Ugly: The host called to tell us we were too sensitive to the noise, replied in the Air BnB chat to tell us we were wasting their time and the issues couldn't be so bad since we didn't leave the stay early. I'm working with Air BnB now for a refund resolution.
