Pros: close to lobster house, mad Viking, two mile crab, diamond beach etc. plenty of free street parking. Cons: very warn and dated, cheap furniture, low lighting, cheap appliances, floors are falling apart, bunk beds have DIY repairs with boards screwed in. Thermostat kept resetting to 80 degrees in the summer, idk if this was done by someone remotely via wifi or a schedule they had programmed. They wanted to charge something like $160 or $180 to check in an hour early even through the unit was ready and we were already paying over $600 a night so it seemed petty. 4PM check in is a bit late for a standard check in as well. Messaging the host felt like I was taking to AI. I didn’t like they have a ring camera that records you every time you come in/out, I felt like it was an invasion of privacy and must have missed that in the listing if it was there. This was one of the few places left to rent for a semi last minute rental and I can see why.

The place was cute and just like the pictures, host was very responsive. The only downside was it was not very clean upon arrival. There was hair both animal and human on the couch, bathroom sink and dresser in the bedroom. The house smelled of wet dog so we opened up the windows immediately after arriving. The couch also seemed unclean and very worn. We went out and bought throw blankets just to sit on the couch and feel comfortable. On a side note we are not animal people, and will not be staying at another place that allows animals. So maybe this would not bother those that are used to animals in the house.
