Meadow Homes in Newbury, New Hampshire

“House was so beautiful & spacious. Simple decor and rooms. Very well prepared for your needs. - They provided lots of towels in every room. -There were some bugs on the high ceilings. -The hot tub area/door were covered in bugs & had to rush to get inside so they didn’t come in. - Hot was nice - wish it could have been alittle hotter. Did warm up as much as I’d like. - the grill worked but we had to manually get it lit & when we did only 1 out of 3 burners worked. But we made due. - internet snd TVs were fine. - ACs & Fans in most rooms = PLUS! I love me a fan to sleep at night so I was happy! - Master bedroom deck was not accessible. - game room is a good touch as we spent both nights on there enjoying family time & creating memories - the chairs on the porch to sit & enjoy were nice too. OVERALL- I will definitely save to book again in the future. My kids loved the area. It was a nice cozy, relaxing spot to stay & We also signed the guestbook(:”

“There's a lot to like about this property but there are matters for the host to address before it's a 5-star stay. It's private, shaded, comfortable, plenty of clean linens and hot water, has a nice fire pit area outdoors and included a couple kayaks for cruising on Chalk Pond. We had some cleanliness and inoperability issues, some of which were addressed during our stay, and the rest hopefully will be addressed soon. Nobody likes to spend the first two days making lists and trying to get things taken care of. In spite of that, communication with the host was always very honest and pleasant.”

“Initially when we entered there were alot of dead bugs by the door in a bathroom and around a/c's. We would have left but we had 6 people so we stayed. They sent somebody over day 2 to seal A/c's which helped. Meadow Home's was pretty responsive, and we did get a partial refund. Should have been a better inspection before we arrived as soon as you entered you could see the dead bugs/flies.”
