We recently stayed at this Airbnb in Lake Winnipesaukee and had a mixed experience. The home was spacious and in a great location near the lake, making it easy to enjoy the area. The fishing dock was excellent, and the easy water access was a major plus. Despite bad weather during our trip, we still had a great time overall. Upon arrival, the home felt stale, and the air conditioning was not working. Fortunately, the owner was nearby and quickly helped address the issue. We also noticed several cleanliness concerns, including thick dust on the ceiling fan and bedroom air vents. In addition, the water had a strong sulfur smell. We contacted the management company multiple times through chat to ask if this was normal, but after three days without a response, we assumed it was and relied mostly on bottled water while limiting showers. While some concerns were eventually addressed, the cleanliness and overall freshness of the home could definitely be improved.

We enjoyed our stay because it was close to our son and daughter-in-law granddaughter. The neighborhood was very nice and friendly and beautiful.

A stay just as promised by the listing! We enjoyed this spacious cottage and its wonderful views for a short weekend in the lakes area. Accessible to everything we wanted to do with a 30 minute drive or so. Host was responsive. Home was clean and we experienced no problems during our stay. We were lucky to not have any neighbors using the adjacent Airbnb. Sharing the property may have been a little awkward, but absolutely doable. The running water is very sulfurous smelling. Something you don’t really get used to, but the water was plenty hot. We drank bottled water for our stay. Thanks for sharing this home and location with us!

The water smelled of sulfur our entire stay. We decided against showering for the second night or the morning of check out. I had reached out, and was told to just run the water for about 20 minutes or so. I left it running for over an hour and a half. I thought it got better, but by the time we attempted to brush our teeth on night 2, it still smelled. After running the shower again on the morning of check out, it smelled so intense we waited until we arrived back home. I understand how pipes work, and that the lack of usage led to this, but truthfully it made for a lackluster valentine’s day, where we wanted to relax and feel good. Aside from this, the scenery was amazing. I could only imagine it in the summer. Kitchenette is quite nice, the toaster oven is large and can support smaller meals for sure. Bed is a little wonky and there was a bit of an odor upon arrival.
