Great stay overall. Had a very unseasonably cold night and it ended up freezing the pipes - although it was just a minor setback. I reported it to the folks at the general store and maintenance got right on it. Such a convenient location for the area of the park I like to frequent.

This beautiful location in the mountains is stunning. The cabin is old and rustic and very quiet at night. We got there and it was a very cold evening. When we got into the cabin, the heater was up and it felt so welcoming. The host was Chris and he was great. I would recommend this property to unwind and slow down. No tv is available, so we read and looked at our Yellowstone pictures. Very nice time,

Cute Cozy Cabin. Highly Recommended! The cabin was warm and comfortable. We stayed with our two dogs and it was spacious. The small kitchen was equipped with utensils, pan, toasters and cooking range among other things. The staff are one of the kindest and helpful people. Took their advice and rented the scope for the two days I was staying there and it paid off with us being able to see 7 wolves the second morning. The location cannot be more perfect, such a short drive to prime wildlife watch spots. Must stay if wildlife at Lamar Valley area is your priority!

So we finished off our Yellowstone - Grand Teton trip with a tour of Lamar Valley. We were surprised - positively - with the beauty and wildlife of Lamar and highly recommend all visitors spend time there. But I grappled for long with the question of where to stay - most of the internet suggested Gardiner, because there was little to find in Silver Gate / Cooke City. This place was perfect for us. You won’t find a better location for Lamar Valley. And the cabin was excellent for our family of 5 - very cozy, clean, very unique with its wooden structure and furnishings. Our hosts were friendly and clear. and all round an excellent experience!
