“My wife and I rented "Yellowstone River Retreat" from Stay Montana via Airbnb. The unit was in an unclean, unacceptable condition on arrival (dirty bedding, dirty bathroom with dirty towels on floor and other dirty surfaces). Stay Montana acknowledged the issue and agreed to a full refund, but conditioned that refund on us signing a "Guest Resolution Agreement" with a non-disparagement clause prohibiting my wife or I from leaving a negative review. I declined to sign, and Stay Montana confirmed in writing they will not refund me without my signature. I also submitted a claim directly to Airbnb for the unclean/inaccurate listing, which Airbnb was able to partially resolve leaving me with a partial refund. Airbnb support staff was quick and understanding about this matter.”

“The home was very comfortable and clean! Communication with the host was fantastic as they immediately got back to us when we had a small issue upon arrival. The only reason I gave this place 4-stars for location is because the dirt road leading to the house was quite bumpy and dusty - something us city slickers weren't prepared for. Overall our stay was great and we all agreed we would stay here again!”

“This was a great stay! A few things I wish we’d known: 1. It’s on a very long, unkept, dirt road. Even in a full size SUV there were tough spots; it’s so rough that it rattled our front sensors out. 2. Trash removal is almost an hour round trip and it’s a required round trip due to a vehicle tag. 3. This is clearly a new property and as a result we ran into a couple hiccups with access. For now, just insist on the code for the PADLOCK, not just the electric lock on the door. These weren’t dealbreakers, just things I would like to have prepared for. They did a GREAT job handling these challenges! They have a very thorough and usable digital system for contact, info and instructions. Lastly, I must say, that this was such a treat. The stillness and quiet were just what our busy souls needed. The interior was well appointed, and very comfortable. We would go back; and we’d consider Stay Montana first and always!! Thank you!”
