“Sad to write this, but we won’t be going back to Marina Cay. The unit was fine but felt like it needs to be updated. The deck looks out onto a dirty parking lot with broken signage, and you can’t see the lake from any vantage point. Also, the tiki bar is a ghost town and falling apart, the sitting area floors are rotten, wood falling off railings, chairs are ripped and the once nice pool deck is filthy and pool out of service.”

“Working AC would have been nice. Great location with balcony views of the bay. But the Marina Cay hotel, pool and cajun restaurant are really disappointing. Serious need of updating and maintenance.”

“Our flights were unfortunately delayed so we did not arrive to our Airbnb until a day late. We arrived at the Airbnb at 2pm, all bathrooms had dirty towels piled up in the floor, and every bedroom had dirty linens piled in the floor. It was clear nothing had been cleaned prior to our arrival. The host was contacted and we were luckily able to get the cleaning ladies to clean house 2hrs after I initially called the host. We had dinner reservations at 6pm that no one could get ready for because there were no clean towels. This experience was very stressful considering they had a day and a half to clean the property. I was also getting married the next day and pictures were going to be taken at this Airbnb.”

“Way too high for this unit”

“Can not recommend. Very dirty. Not interested in customer satisfaction. Will do anything to get your money.”

“My wife and I rented "Yellowstone River Retreat" from Stay Montana via Airbnb. The unit was in an unclean, unacceptable condition on arrival (dirty bedding, dirty bathroom with dirty towels on floor and other dirty surfaces). Stay Montana acknowledged the issue and agreed to a full refund, but conditioned that refund on us signing a "Guest Resolution Agreement" with a non-disparagement clause prohibiting my wife or I from leaving a negative review. I declined to sign, and Stay Montana confirmed in writing they will not refund me without my signature. I also submitted a claim directly to Airbnb for the unclean/inaccurate listing, which Airbnb was able to partially resolve leaving me with a partial refund. Airbnb support staff was quick and understanding about this matter.”

“The house was amazing and the trip could have been incredible. The house was poorly cleaned before arriving and we found mouse droppings in the majority of the pots and pans. The wifi did not work. The boat lift failed halfway through our stay and no solution was communicated. We spent the majority of a day just figuring out how to get the boat off the lift. We asked for a late check out several times and never got a response back. Checkout was at 10:00 and we rushed and got everything out in time. At 10:10 we heard back that we could have a 12:00 checkout. The house was awesome but it is frustrating paying a premium only to be disappointed by things that could have been communicated or taken care of.”

“We double checked about the unit having AC they assured us it did. Olin checking in it was 83 degrees downstairs and up in the loft where the pathetic little AC unit was the temperature was 91 after having the AC in for a couple hours the temp didn’t change much we left the same day very disappointed to say the least”

“Mixed Review: Beautiful, spacious home w/ amazing views & stocked above & beyond what guests could ask for. We rented for 3 months ($25k+) while working in the area. The hassles were w/ Stay Montana (the mgmt company), not the homeowner. Communication was inconsistent—quick one day, no response the next. Different reps often gave conflicting information, and their internal communication & familiarity with the property does need improvement. The HVAC failed for 1+ week during 30° temps; the fireplace couldn't adequately heat the home. We repeatedly lost work time and revenue due to their mismanaged scheduling of repairs & access issues. The electrical panel is in a locked garage that Stay Montana couldn't access; only the neighbor had a key. Stay Montana offered a $1,100 refund, which we appreciated, but it didn't fully offset the disruption. Great home—management has room for improvement. I hope this feedback helps, but based on my experience, we won't book Stay Montana property again”

“The listing said “luxury ground floor condo, parking included” it should have said this unit is located IN a parking garage! It appears a wall was added to a corner of the parking garage to create a unit. The listing also said “patio” which was 2 metal chairs & a metal table sitting in the handicap parking spot that was included! We booked this unit last minute, & after booking I noticed the same owners had 2 unoccupied units on higher levels available- we asked to move to one of those units & pay more but were told no changes could be made- we would need to cancel, pay the full rental price- & book again with them so essentially pay twice. We decided to drive up & see it in person- needless to say- we were shocked & disappointed it was part of a garage. Because the instructions were only available at check in we did not have the WiFi password & with no service were unable to contact the host. So we left, and checked in at Lake McDonald Lodge, which was amazing. Lost 3K on this rental.”
