“We booked this for the hot tub. We could of booked for less at our friends place but our adult kids wanted a relaxing hot tub weekend so we booked this as it was advertised with a hot tub on grounds. It was too cold to swim outside and the inside pool and hot tub were not advertised as not available. Very disappointing as this is the reason we booked this place. Very upset when we all went to relax in the hot tub and had to find out then it was an option. Our kids will be moving this was our last chance to get together and enjoy time as a family. Again, very disappointed. Had we known this we would have chosen to stay somewhere else.”

“The location was ideal for our trip, there was some sort of mess under the couch and bugs/cob webs above the front door, back of vanity chair and mirror was broke in the master room. There were 2 sets of checkin/out procedures with differences on both pages, we went with the first set. The ice maker in the refrigerator was frozen solid. We had to turn the water on on the water heater and flip the breaker (listed procedure at checkin) Check in and check out times i felt were late for in and early to be out by, we were only there 1 night and weren't even there 24 hrs.”

“Booking and check in were easy! We did arrive late after a long day of travel. Upon pulling out beds, I noticed that the sheets on the trundle were dirty, dusty and covered in debris. They had obviously not been checked and changed that day when the previous guests had checked out. We were unable to have our child sleep on that bed with dirty sheets. The master bed had hair in the sheets - might have been from previous guests or storage. I sent pictures over late that night, by 11pm and didn’t hear back for more than two days, and got a response at 1:47am, which I felt was very unprofessional. A house manager came over at 8am to change sheets on our last day, but by that point, we had figured out other sleeping arrangements. There were two large wasp nests outside the front door I also made them aware of and they were dealt with promptly. Upon cleaning and packing at check out, I found clothing items from a previous guest at the foot of the master bed. Not throughly cleaned.”

“For the price we expected more. Blinds that work properly to help us sleep in a little later, a view of the lake, a skillet that wasn’t so old that it’s unsafe to use due to nonstick coating being thoroughly eroded. On the Airbnb website we selected unit 100 and it appeared to be right on the lake. However, there’s barely a view of the lake on where the unit actually was. And there’s no obvious way to just go sit on the dock anywhere near our location. Feels like a misrepresentation. We were not aware of the early checkout until it was too late to request it without adding $50 to extend our stay for an hour. That’s bullshit. Your lack of attention on nice touches and acting like an opportunist corporation isnot inviting us to return.”

“Mismanaged nightmare fuel — avoid. We had 3 small children with us and this unit is completely unsafe for kids: multiple scorpions on the carpet and exposed rusted tack-strip nails at the slider. Sewage smell when water ran. Every bed had previous guests’ hair and eyelashes; sheets stained and smelling of body odor — we slept on linens we brought. Kitchen sink leaked into a bucket. Food on the floor, dirty sofa, sauce streaks down the stove, dead insects, cobwebs, nothing vacuumed. Check-in took over an hour, and the only reason we stayed the night is we had been on the road 7 hours and arrived just before dark. WiFi password was wrong, and after paying through Airbnb we were forced through an undisclosed third-party app demanding ID, a selfie, and a signed lease. Unit looks like it hasn’t been updated since the 90s. Booked two nights. Barely slept, left as soon as we could in the morning.”
