“Over all clean beds were comfy much smaller then anticipated, parking was very tight, rooms are very tight, animals on the ceiling and late party hours on the strip very loud. Also no windows so airflow was dismal. Requested more towels and they were never received one towl for 5 days with no washer and dryer.”airbnb

“I booked this apartment for my adult son who was working in the area. No check in instructions were sent and then when we tried to contact the host he did not answer. We were able to get a response via message system after a couple of attempts. Code did not work in the door. It turns out the Co-host sent check in instructions for the wrong unit. After they checked into the unit they were asked to move to the correct unit after they had already unloaded their groceries for the week and unpacked. Once they moved to the new unit they found out there was no stove or hot plate even though there is a set of pans and the listing has a kitchen listed. It was around 10:00 p.m. by the time they were able to get a hot plate in order to be able to cook their dinner. Just kind of a big ordeal to face after working 10 hours in 90 plus degree heat that day. Everything was fine with the stay after the initial check-in confusion and they were happy with their stay and location.”airbnb

“Let me preface this by saying I’ve lived in old houses, lofts, and apartments my whole adult life; I understand they have their quirks. However, visible dirt, dust and stains on the walls, doorframe, couch, and tub are completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the a/c unit was so loud it kept us up, and if we turned it off it was too hot to sleep. The check in instructions were not clear, and we had to hunt on a website for ten minutes to find the code to the front door. And the front door itself, the one at street level, looked like it had been pushed or kicked in based on the doorframe being broken and scraped and the lock barely held which is a security risk. The location was wonderful and Main Street in St Charles is very charming, but next time we will stick to an actual hotel or B&B.”airbnb

“This place was in a great location and a larger space than expected. Unfortunately the space was much dirtier than the listing, with marks on the walls, stained furniture, and dust all around. There were also odor issues as the unit is shared with a second neighbor. This may have been a gap in maintenance, but if you mind a dirty space I would not recommend staying here. As mentioned, the location is great though, so if you don't mind, it could be worth it!”airbnb

“I booked this as accommodations for my wedding down the street. Upon checking in, the door code at street level was not correct. The door code to the room was correct, but the room was never cleaned after the previous stay. There was trash, dirty dishes, and the bedding wasn’t changed. The mattress and mattress cover were covered in hair and stains. I called the service number provided and the representative was rude. We were given access to a nearby unit, but the stress and being late to the event was preventable. The reservation was placed weeks in advance.”airbnb
