“Wonderful place”

“I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for what happened after checkout. My friend and I came to Rockaway Beach for a fishing getaway and relaxing weekend. We really enjoyed the property and location, followed the checkout instructions, and left everything as we found it. A few hours after leaving, the host accused us of leaving a “significant amount of pet hair” and said we owed a $100 pet fee, asking, “How would you like to handle this payment?” I explained that we did not bring any pets and that the hair must have been there before we arrived. The host replied that, while it was “highly unusual” for their cleaning team to report this, they would waive the fee, while suggesting I report cleanliness issues upon arrival. Later, the host apologized and admitted they had the wrong unit and wrong guest. Mistakes happen, but being falsely accused and asked to pay $100 was extremely disappointing.”

“I didn’t know what to expect but it exceeded my expectations!!! Very well decorated and great use of a small space. It had everything we needed and more. I would recommend this place and stay again! It’s small but well organized and exactly what we needed. Plus a washer and dryer. Great place to be!!! I don’t know what it would be like with other close by rentals filled but for us it was quiet, peaceful and we felt right at home! (There were not many people around when we rented it). Overall, I am grateful we had such a nice place close to where we needed to be. Thanks for making it so updated and fresh! My only suggestion would be to have two luggage wracks and not just one, for two people to have their bags up. That’s easy to remedy. Overall, great place!”

“Kiddo and I wanted to take a last minute fishing trip and this turned out perfect! 100 Degrees outside but AC worked perfectly and the porch was shaded. There is a large public fishing dock right across the street +- 100 Yards to the trout. A cute pizza joint with checkered cloth and pac man and what sounded like a fun dock bar both within walking distance. DG and a convenience store also both just a mile away. We’ll be back!”
