Enjoy Unique Stays in Sawyer, Michigan

“This host gives Airbnb's a bad name. Will not stay here again or with this host in their other locations. Previous reviews showed problems with the king bed and the water. The bed broke during our stay, they promised to come and fix and did not. Water tastes and smells like sulfur and metals. The air/heat does not work properly, some bedrooms are very cold, others warm during summer. Do not come on extreme hot or cold days. They have a weed garden (no kidding) along the front porch so you can enjoy the pollen while sitting on the porch. Bad for allergies and those with breathing issues.”

“The Spacious 5 bedroom Sawyer Farm house was just right for me and my family. Good deal on the price. Not far from any of the attractions. From beginning to end. The host was quick to respond to any questions or concerns. The issues I had was the King bed is not secure enough. It sinks in (which was even mentioned twice in the reviews the last month before my stay) and still wasn’t fixed yet. The host did offer to send someone but I didn’t want to interrupt the group trip. So we used one of the other rooms. The pots, pans, and bowls were filthy. (As mentioned before 3 weeks ago in the reviews.) The caked up burnt grease on the pots, utensils had caked up grease on it, and the bowls were dirty. I have pictures. We washed everything we used and put them back clean. I think they need to hire a new cleaning crew. No way the dishes should’ve looked that way. If they’re being checked after every stay. Blanket had visible stains, space rugs had stains. All easy fixes.”

“This was a unique stay in the Sawyer area of Michigan. We chose it for its close proximity to the Warren Dunes State Park. The property is nice and quiet surrounded by farm. The home is spacious and can fit a large group. The layout is a little funky. There is only a half bath in the “master” king bed room and the bed frame is missing the middle bar, so you sink into the mattress like it’s a blow up. There is a ton of dust downstairs, especially in the basement bathroom and on the ceiling exhaust fan. The tiles in the kitchen by sink are all cracked and pop up. My daughter caught her foot on them a few times. The tv didn’t have cable to watch the World Cup games, but there were some board and card games to keep us entertained. Overall, an ok stay.”
