Freshwater Vacation Rentals in Houghton, Michigan

“Because the house had no air-conditioning I started to open all of the windows when we arrived. I opened the first window, which was difficult. When I opened the second window facing the water it only went up about 6 inches and got stuck. When I went to push the window back down a little, the whole window fell and eight of my fingers got crushed between the outside and inside pane. This ended up crushing the middle finger on my left hand. Which I ended up at the urgent care in Houghton for them to look at and get x-rays. I’m still dealing with this crushed finger and have now had to visit the urgent care, a second time and seen a hand specialist just to make sure my finger was OK. At this point I’m going to lose my nail and will take months for it to heal back. This all happened within the first 15 minutes of us arriving. I spent our entire vacation with a crushed finger that I was icing constantly to manage the pain. On another note, the garbage instructions were confusing.”

“We loved our stay at Dragonfly Cottage. The layout was amazing for our family. We enjoyed playing board games in the dining room, sitting on the front porch, and walking down to the lake. It is so quiet and peaceful, and the town itself is so nice to walk around. We would love to come back next year!”
