“The house is very secluded and provides nice privacy. It was also cleaned well and well equipped but it had a very strong mold-like smell throughout the residence. We found dead mice in mouse traps inside the house that appeared to have been there for weeks, if not months. We checked the air filter, and it was covered in an excessive amount of dirt and debris, appearing as though it had not been changed in over a year. Since leaving the residence, several of us have experienced significant reactions that we believe may be consistent with mold exposure. The deck also felt structurally unstable and unsafe. Additionally, the deck surface was in poor condition, with splinters being a concern if shoes were not worn. Lastly, the advertised number of beds was misleading. There were only two actual beds, while the third “bed” was an air mattress that did not even fit properly in the third bedroom. This made the sleeping arrangements particularly difficult, especially with young children.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity. The house had everything we needed for cooking, laundry etc. The lakefront location was beautiful. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the view, swimming and fishing off of the dock. We would definitely stay here again!”

“This is a guest house. Wish the listing described that in the listing. the owner was friendly and helpful but we were not expecting to interact with the property owner the couple times that we did. We were looking for more of a private experience. The house wasn’t the cleanest and needs carpet cleaning to remove odor of pet urine. The fridge was also not clean and had to be wiped down before use. The lake was awesome with clear water.”

“The location was great for what we wanted it for. The lake was beautiful and the water depth was perfect for the little kids to enjoy. The house itself was nice. The owners were nice. I wouldn’t be opposed to staying there again however there was sand on one of the beds, it needed to be vacuumed, one bedroom smelled like dog, and we could have used more fans. It was really hot. I do feel it was a bit over priced for what we got even though we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
