“The best thing about this home is the yard. If you have fury ones traveling with you they'll have a blast. Aside from that, our experience was not the best. It would have been great to know beforehand that this house has well water and thus has a very peculiar smell and feel. The worst part were the beds. No one in the group was able to get a good night sleep. The mattresses in the house are really low quality, so much so that you can feel the metal support rods from the bed frame on some of them. Several guests decided to sleep on the floor since it was better than sleeping on the mattresses. One of my guests also got a grey bleach discolored towel, which makes us wonder how much care goes into preparing the house for the next guest. As for communication, the host was great for the most part. I would have liked to be notified that the landscaping company was coming to cut the grass as I was playing off leash with my dog when the gates were opened and my dog almost got out.”

“It was the perfect location for exploring NW Michigan as we planned for our family vacation. 3 full baths were great. Fire pit and hot tub were a big bonus to come back to in the evenings.”

“When we got there, we were told the internet would be fixed within a few hours. We arrived on Sunday and couldn’t use internet until Thursday, extremely hard to work without internet. The basement was SO musty - the relative humidity was over 80% when we arrived and I had to spend a lot of time trying to dry out the basement because the dehumidifiers provided were not near strong enough. We were expecting well water, we were not expecting hard and untreated water. This place should be removed and water problem needs to be addressed, my four month old couldn’t even sleep in the downstairs bedroom safely.”

“Prior to our arrival we were informed that a clogged pipe had been fixed by a plumber. While we understand things happen, little was done to clean saturated carpet and the home smelled like sewer our entire visit. The nicest bedroom and bathroom is in the basement along with a hangout space that was made unusable during our stay. It was obvious the bare minimum was done with cleaning. Floors were unswept and after walking barefoot in the house for 15 minutes the bottom of our feet were black. The “fast and reliable” WiFi worked for all of about 5 minutes during our stay. All of the comforters were stained. The back patio had many cigarette and cigar butts everywhere. All the coffee mugs were stained and needed washed before use. The master bath tub jets were completely black from mold. We found hair in every room. And the only response we got when we asked them about these issues was “the place had been thoroughly cleaned.” Would never recommend this house or host.”
