Very close to M22 so lots of road noise. Small lot many supplies not provided in kitchen and bathroom. Very near Crystal Lake and interior of cottage is charming.

We needed a last minute to stay for 4 nights and this looked perfect! We drove from Indianapolis and were exhausted and the host let us check in within minutes! The house is cute and charming and right on the lake! I recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, quiet and beautiful stay!

Unfortunately, we were a disappointed with a few things. The bathroom faucet had almost no water coming out. We couldn't even wash our hands in there. The kitchen faucet had water, but the faucet was shooting water out in our faces. We did complain, but nothing was done. The kitchen and bath had a problem with ants. We had to go and buy ant traps to help with that. The night before we left for home, we were unable to flush the toilet. We called about that, they asked us to go reset the breaker because sometimes the well pump can trip the breaker? The other thing that was a bit rough for us was the fact that the cottage has no air. We knew that before hand, but we expected the house to have windows that open. Two windows in the kitchen were just solid glass, no way to open. Same with the center window in the living room. The windows that did open, were unable to open wide. Being as they are very old crank windows. The ceiling fans were somewhat helpful though. The lake was beautiful.

The cabin is small & has not been updated in many years. It was clean. However for the rental price I expected more amenities. There was no dishwasher. There was no air conditioner & no screens on half the windows on the 1st floor so we we no comfortable in the July heat. The standing fans didn’t move any air so we had to buy our own fan in town. The carpet upstairs is dirty & worn, so is the sofa & the porch furniture. At the least, replace the cushions on the porch & buy canvas slip covers for the couch. Better lighting for the cabin so it doesn’t feel like a dungeon after sunset. For the $$$, we expect internet access. It is very overpriced.

We were so happy to find such a beautiful and peaceful get-away in such a highly sought after area in Northern Michigan. Thank you for having such a lovely place and allowing us to us to care for it and spend time in it. We are already thinking about when we can visit again and stay longer.
