“We stayed in this lovely home for four nights this month. Four adults, one child. There was a lovely canvas gift bag waiting for us upon arrival with wine, coffee, mug, frisbee etc. which was such a thoughtful touch. Having two living rooms with TV's was much appreciated, as we didn't all want to watch the same shows. More than enough dishes (very. nice and matching) and oodles of wine glasses. So well stocked, can't think of any utensil we wanted which we couldn't find! Beds were comfy and sheets were cotton and not cheap microfiber. Nice quality towels. Loved being able to open the windows and breathe in the night air while in the bed for sleep. Minor quibble: pillows could have been higher quality; squished down flat and had to double up. 9 a.m. check-out too early given the high price we paid. I have been bombarded with marketing emails, phone calls, postcards even before we checked out; overly aggressive marketing is a bit of a turn-off. However, will prob use Del Mar again.”

“We had a great stay here and loved the location. We did stay in off season, so it was nice to have privacy at the beach. Neighborhood was quiet and safe. The furniture could be updated in the living room and some bedrooms, but we really enjoyed the space overall.”

“Furniture very uncomfortable, had to put 2 pillows & blanket under the cushion to rise it up on a chair by the fireplace so my husband could get up. The couch was extremely low also and uncomfortable. We both had back aches from the mattress in back bedroom. So bad that we went & stayed with a friend for the last 4 nights. We did go back during the days to pack up our things & visit with a few friends. We wanted to entertain family but nothing was comfortable. We made the best of it as well as we could. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed of themselves. We paid almost $5000 for 17 days and it was not worth it. We complained to DelMar about the door holder on storm door & the furniture, they came & fixed it the door holder but we were told nothing else was broke. Heaters in bathroom had rusty spots all over them. Windows filthy on the outside also. Washer & dryer was great, location good. Inside is cute but hard to enjoy due to furniture.”
