“This place is overpriced for what you get. I understand that it’s “rustic,” but it needs a good deep clean. There were mouse droppings under the kitchen and bathroom sinks, dirt in the corners, and a rodent trap on a kitchen shelf next to spices/seasonings. The shower was terrible - the shower head is awful and the water didn’t drain. There were no outdoor lights - all the bulbs had been removed or weren’t working and as a woman there alone that made me a bit anxious. “Rustic” is fine but the nightly rate should more accurately match the accommodation. Finally, I got a barrage of texts and emails after I had booked and paid indicating that I was required to complete mandatory paperwork via an external link, including providing a copy of my drivers license and my credit card information. I wasn’t comfortable doing that - I am a verified AirBnB user - so I just ignored the messages and hoped for the best. It didn’t seem to matter ultimately, but I found it strange.”
