Vacasa in Rockport, Massachusetts

“It was nice to enjoy another stay at the Ledge on Green as the house is located in a lovely walkable location near the center of Rockport. Having stayed at the house before, I was already familiar with its layout before I arrived. Overall the house is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. I have not stayed at the house when it was really warm & humid outside so I do not know what it would be like to stay there when outside summer temperatures are elevated. There were nice cool breezes when I stayed so it was comfortable. Downsides of staying at house-some window screens would benefit from repairs being made to them-I have mentioned this fact after each stay at the house to the rental or management company overseeing it during my stay. The other feedback I have provided to the management company or rental company overseeing the house when I stayed is that it would be great to have an upstairs bathroom curtain installed for privacy-nothing has happened on this note yet.”

“The house itself is lovely, and if it hadn't been for the inaccuracy of the location and the total lack of response from Vacasa, I would have rated it five stars. The house is advertised as "ideally located within walking distance to Front Beach and Back Beach Landing, ... easy to indulge in beachcombing...". Also, the '...downtown area is just a short stroll away". The downtown area and beaches are approximately 1.5 miles from this house, definitely not a 'short stroll'! We had to drive everywhere. We contacted the 'host' (Vacasa) often, not only about the location, but for other things (there is no manual in the house so no answers to FAQs). The TV remote didn't work, we had issues with the sliding glass doors, and there was no information about where to leave trash. We never got one helpful response. Airbnb informed me that Vacasa was using 'canned' responses ("You may place your trash in any barrels you may find outside"), and I believe it. My next Airbnb will not be with Vacasa.”
