Another amazing stay! This is one of our favorite places to stay in New England! The house is warm and welcoming with everything that we need. We love the character and family charm of this home. Highly recommended! We look forward to many more stays!

It is an older home, lots of nooks and crannies, and not a single cobweb in sight! It was immaculate, and very comfortable. We loved the record player and the decks were sturdy.

The house is as it's shown and described. The parking was a little tricky for us as there was a water main break the day we arrived which made it so we could not travel down the road to get to the house. I also find it odd that you rent a home that doesn't have parking on site. The parking situation was mentioned but I guess since I had never been to Rockport I didn't know it would be the way that it was. The rooftop deck was a 10/10. Any issues we had Lianne was easy to get in touch with.

This house is in The Neck, so you're really paying for location location location! While we did enjoy the views from the deck, it wasn't as nice of a house as you might expect for the price (at least in high season, we paid over $600/night when you include all the taxes and fees). The house was really hot and stuffy (there were window units in the bedrooms and in the dining room, but the rooms without a unit were really hot. The bathroom doors didn't really allow for a lot of privacy, and the second bathroom is just a toilet in the laundry room. The real issue with the house for us was the parking situation. While there is a parking spot just next to the house, you can't park in it (I guess it's a spot for another house). I received paragraphs of information from the host about where you can park in Rockport, but it was still very confusing when it came time to find parking. The views were great, but if I go back to Cape Ann, I'd prioritize parking over views - at least in high season.

Overall, I liked this stay. It was easy to find. It was as the pictures presented. The location is stunning as is the patio which is the best feature of this place, but for the price I likely wouldn’t book it again. As other reviewers said, besides the two bedrooms there is a single “bed” which is more like a mat in the middle of a hallway. It’s made up nicely but there’s no AC there so there’s noticeably less air flow. I think my last point is more a matter of personal preference- but there are many many personal affects in this home which kind of prevented me from being truly comfortable as someone who tends to enjoy more hotel-like and airy airbnbs. There are a LOT of old toys and generations of photos and cutlery which are very vintage and old. I’m sure they are clean but sometimes when things are clearly very old you can’t really tell when they were last cleaned. You have to feel around for the (old) lamps to turn the lights on in the living room too.
