“The location is beautiful. Many excellent restaurants close by. Beaches are about a 10 minute walk. House is small but tastefully furnished. Parking is easy. Could not use the dishwasher as it did not close. Our local host offered to come out but we did not want to waste our vacation waiting. We did not use the washer & dryer. It was difficult for us to get down into the basement (heavy doors & awkward steps) & there was no light. Our local host told us it was difficult to locate the switch & told us where it was located, but we did not wish to go down there again! The kitchen cabinets were disorganized & messy. Spent about an hour reorganizing so we could use the kitchen.Baking tins & fry pans were damaged & rusty. On our last night we put out the garbage can as instructed. We could barely fit our 1 bag of trash into the can it was so full. It took the 2 of us to get it to the curb; it felt as if it was full of concrete. This was an expensive rental & we expected it to be "5 star".”

“Location was great - walkable to beach, ferry, and downtown. House was clean but was very dated and not well kept up. One of the bedrooms was win the basement and we couldn't use it because of mildew smell. The pull out sofa was basically unusable as well because the mattress was so bad. We did find an air mattress that was able to substitute.”
