The house had very low end finishes...like a vinyl floor stapled down in kitchen, Formica counter tops peeling off, cheap quality furniture, NOT comfortable at all. Wood chairs outside falling apart. Beds were nice BUT that was it, all other furniture was not nice at all! Bi-fold closet doors broken, etc. VERY disappointed!

We have stayed at so many properties over the past few years and unfortunately, this was our least favorite. Positively, there was clear communication from property management, the space was mostly clean, and the location was fantastic with a really sweet beach at the end of the street. The views were 10/10! We would never stay at this property again due to a lot of issues that should have been communicated to the owners prior. The house is so musty and old smelling and overwhelming while you’re in the home. The laundry was “high efficient” and didn’t wash or dry our clothes, leaving a musty mess. Lastly, the checkout time is 9 am which we have never encountered in renting 50+ properties and renting our own home. We felt so frazzled and that we didn’t get a full stay. One other note: this property is managed by a large property manager and their branding all over the house and trash bins and additional forms to sign and constant emails is a lot. It feels so sterile and disliked.

Beautiful pool, backyard and porch but was unusable because of the biting horseflies that swarm all day. They will bite the top of your head while peaking out of pool. This should be advertised when showing the pool pictures. Stove knobs so worn out you couldn’t even tell the setting.

So when we first walked in we saw the occasional gnat flying around and had to google images of what was “earwigs” which is typical in damp areas. Then we saw more and more. We understand that some insects are unavoidable in a beach cottage, but we encountered significantly more than we expected. Over the course of our stay, we found probably at least 15 earwigs inside, ants, gnats, then the last straw was on our last night- a cockroach on the wall next to my bed and I immediately told the owner who just apologized and that was it. There was a hornets’ nest on the exterior of the cottage. At one point, a spider even fell on my face while we were watching TV.

The cottage is a cute setup for a very remote getaway. The smell of the garage and basement area is really bad. The smell of dog urine and fecal matter is downright awful. I would not recommend this property to anyone.
