“Our stay at Ocean Time Condos on 136th Street in Ocean City was disappointing. There were cobwebs in the bedroom ceiling corners, and some dishes and pans were dirty. The condo had a musty, cigarette-like smell that we noticed every time we returned after being gone for 20+ minutes. Supplies were limited: one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, no extra trash bags despite being required to replace the bag when taking out the trash, and only a few very small towels. We were expected to wash dishes, but no sponges were provided, so we had to use dish soap and our hands or paper towels. The most disappointing part was the host’s response. I messaged Fred about the cigarette-like smell, but instead of acknowledging the concern or apologizing, he repeatedly said the person who checks the condos had inspected it before our arrival. His response felt dismissive, as though my experience was being questioned. I was simply reporting an issue, not arguing. Will not be returning.”

“I just stayed here last weekend for country calling. I will say that the place was able to stay in it but, The bathroom that is separate from the bedroom had mold on ceiling and shower curtain. The pull out couch was needed to be used that’s why i booked this place and the person couldn’t sleep on it because there was food and a pee stain on the mattress and not to mention it was a pain to get back in after we pulled it out. It reeked of weed when we walked in and that was very unpleasant because none of us are smokers. The directions also led us to the wrong parking lot and a lady yelled at us for it and told us to park somewhere else. Other than that it was okay just wouldn’t book again especially for the price.”

“Unsanitary and unsafe conditions. The photos shown in the listing do not depict reality. There were safety concerns with the door. When locked, it could be pushed ajar enough to fit a pencil in the opening. The door itself was structurally compromised with a crack down the center. Inside, there were sanitary concerns, including what appeared to be blood stains on the bed, food on the wall/dripping down the front of the oven, a scratched/uncleanable toilet seat, heavy chemical smell causing headaches and sticky floors. I messaged our host after we arrived that night. He did not respond until the next morning. Due to the conditions, we left the rental for other accommodations in a storm on a festival weekend. The host declined to provide a full refund, stating we should have called the emergency line. However, the instructions indicated it was for “MAJOR EMERGENCIES only, such as heating/ac problems, water leakage, etc.” We contacted AirBnB and they resolved the outstanding issues.”
