“Management was completely unhelpful and inflexible when the area was under a nor’Easter storm. They offered no cancellation or rescheduling which meant we would lose all our money if we didn’t brace the weather and drive there. Streets were flooded for the entire stay and the beaches were non existent. We didn’t feel safe and the management company did not seem to care. The unit is very nice and the location is great (with cooperating weather) but I would not recommend this management company.”

“Location was great and had super easy access to the beach. Check in and out was easy and the apartment was very week stocked with all the essentials. The building is a multi-unit building with parking in either side. However we were there during the nor’easter and for a three day music festival that got canceled. We were to check in on thursday and when I called the property management company they have no flexibility for a refund. Additionally during our stay (or prior to check in - we are unsure) a bathroom towel rack fell off. I notified the rental company via a text and receive a check out text back that all was good and to please provide a review. Several days later I received an exorbitant charge request for the towel rack. I messaged for clarification on why they had said all was good and why the charge was so high. I never heard from the rental company again (no response in text or on the Airbnb app) - was just routed to the Airbnb claims team to settle the charge dispute.”

“We booked this property approximately two weeks in advance, but unfortunately, due to significant and unforeseen weather conditions, including a nor’easter, flooding, and dangerous winds, the event we were traveling to Maryland for was cancelled. Given the circumstances and the safety concerns, we ultimately did not make the trip. While we understand that the reservation had a cancellation policy, we were disappointed that the host was unwilling to offer any refund whatsoever—not even a partial refund—despite the unusual circumstances and the fact that we did not travel or use the property. We respect that hosts have policies to follow, but we felt that some consideration or partial accommodation would have been a reasonable and ethical response under these extraordinary circumstances. Losing the entire payment for a stay that was never used left us feeling that the situation was handled unfairly and without much consideration for the circumstances.”

“I'm only rating this what i'm rating it to bypass all of the required information to get the information I require. I never stayed here. There was a concert going on in Maryland that was canceled. I never made it out. I'm sure it was a fine stay but very affordable. Nor'easter ruined the trip.. Was hoping for some help from the host to refund trip but going through amex.”

“I want future guests to know how this host handles situations outside anyone's control. During our reservation, a nor'easter hit Ocean City. The National Weather Service issued a Coastal Flood Warning for the Maryland beaches, Ocean City police warned people to avoid flooded roads, and the Oceans Calling festival was canceled on NWS guidance. The flooding was concentrated on the bayside, where this property is located. We followed the official safety guidance. When I asked the host for a partial refund or even a credit toward a future stay, they refused outright. No flexibility and no goodwill offer of any kind. Weather happens, and I don't blame the host for the storm. But before you book, understand that if conditions make your stay unsafe, you should not expect any accommodation from this host.”
