“I’ll start be saying, the communication was very responsive. I knew I’d have a $75 “resort fee,” but figured that would include the amenities. Even to play a game a pool on the 22nd floor was still $5- inexpensive as that may seem, but without any other interest, I only assumed that $75 would cover those sorts of activities. The room was easy to access with the digital keypad, but when we entered there was sand on the floors, hair on the towels in the bathroom, hair on the ground, and also the dryer lint catch looked like I hadn’t been emptied in a month. The space was more than enough for 2 people, but could be tight for more. The hot water lasted about 17-20 minutes- I’d recommend an instant hwh on the next update.”

“Buyer beware! Booked this property months in advance for a 4-night stay. Before arriving, I contacted management multiple times to ask about flooding and road access. Their responses failed to communicate the severity of the conditions we encountered. Upon arrival, we had to drive through extremely deep floodwater that came over the hood of our van just to access the property. Our vehicle displayed a battery warning afterward. We have photos documenting the flooding and evidence of road closures. This was a serious safety concern, not a minor weather inconvenience. We left the following day because we did not feel safe staying. Had management truthfully answered our questions, we would never have made the trip. Despite requesting a refund for the three unused nights, OC Vacation Homes refused to refund us. The lack of transparency when we specifically asked about conditions beforehand was unacceptable. Would never book this property again. The place was old and dusty- bed was awful!”

“Great location, great views, furniture is dated it would be nicer if there was lounge furniture on patio. It should have been cleaner. Very dusty and floors were dirty.”

“Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. We booked this stay specifically for the Oceans Calling music festival in Ocean City, which was canceled due to the nor’easter, flooding, and unsafe weather conditions. I understood that the host would not allow a last-minute cancellation or refund. What disappointed me though was the lack of flexibility. I asked if we could simply reschedule our stay for another date rather than receive a refund. I even offered to return during the off-season, when the property had no other renters, so there would be minimal impact to the host. Unfortunately, they still declined. I understand having cancellation policies, but I had hoped for some compassion and willingness to work with us given the unusual circumstances. We were left feeling very disappointed with how the situation was handled. We will not be booking with this host or company again in the future.”

“We came for OC festival weekend for my daughters bday. Festival was cancelled due to extreme weather but don’t let that fool you about my review. Being mostly cooped up inside an Airbnb during a miserable weekend wouldn’t have been so bad if accommodations were better. First this unit isn’t marked with number. Second, upon opening door - the smell of must and mold and/or old cigarettes or something is overpowering and stays throughout. Beds are hard, very uncomfortable and minimum, old linens. Main bathroom shower wouldn’t turn on fully and half came out of spigot filling the tub with water while you shower. Hot water does not last. Floor felt dirty and was dusty under bed badly where I had to retrieve a shirt that got pushed under. No central heat or air, a/c units are taped in the wall. Baseboard heaters are rusty. Place needs updated terribly and the price was very high for what we got. Only redeeming quality is that the the kitchen is decent and it is a block from the ocean.”
