Ocean City Vacation Homes

Ocean City Vacation Homes's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

We were up on business and needed space more than amenities - and that was a good thing as this was very limited on conveniences enjoyed by other AirBNB places. For 4 nights, we were limited to one set of towels (not a big deal), one roll of toilet paper per bath, one roll of paper towels, and one trash bag. Some pans, dishes, and utensils were very limited and dirty. The house would easily sleep 10-people, if not more, but it could not accommodate that many with the limited supply. If you are looking for a hotel-type stay, meaning just a bed, this is the place, but to cook and entertain for a group of 4 or more, it will be a lot of work to maintain clean amenities. Requires your driver's license and a picture as well as name, phone, and e-mail of all guests.

I never once left a bad review before. This isn't a bad one, but not a good one. I received a discount from Airbnb; without it, I don't think it would have been worth the money. 1. The wrong code was given to the door. After multiple phone calls, we reached the help desk, but they didn't know the code. They gave me 3 different codes until one worked. The wrong Wi-Fi was provided; I tried to explain that the Wi-Fi name doesn't even exist, but they were no help. I had to reset the router myself and connect to the default settings. 3. Construction was noisy everywhere, and upstairs ceilings were thin. I can literally perfectly understand every convo from upstairs tenants. Every footstep vibrated like the 808s. 4. The couches were awful and cheap. They're not comfortable. The TV is incredibly outdated. The good stuff: 1. Close to the beach 2. Close to the boardwalk 3. Close to many attractions 4. AC worked well 5. The kitchen is nice 6. Spacious 7. Bathroom is good 8. Balcony is nice

Love the view, esp from the main bedroom with a clear view of the ocean. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Living room was comfortable seating. The owner was very commercial in nature with a very structured process that felt a bit cold, including a post-purchase demand for a damage waiver fee or a large deposit outside the Airbnb system - first I've experienced this in my years of Airbnb experience.

This Airbnb could be great. But the water smelled horrible and the "fix" was only temporary. Even a pet friendly home should not have so much dog hair left behind. A dog had trashed the blinds, resulting in a poor first impression. It had also scratched and muddied doors and facings. The home needs a deep cleaning; there was dirt and a used bandaid in the trash bin cabinet, the shower liner was dirty, the drawer under the stove was nasty, the dryer lint trap was overflowing with black dog hair (dog hair was still on the nice white towels), to name the worst. With a better cleaning crew, better water, and some maintenance (maybe not continue as pet friendly), this would be a cute place. The owner has obviously put a lot into it, but as a guest I shouldn't have to buy a shower liner, soda & vinegar for stinky drains, water for cooking and coffee, etc. Nor should I need to wash towels, vacuum and sweep first thing

Really good location. Surrounded by many stores and a lot of activities near it. The house did need better cleaning. Main issue was that the house was very dusty.

The condo was beautiful and well cared for. The furniture and carpets were very clean and up to date. The kitchen had all essentials for cooking. We could watch the waves from the balcony which was heavenly. It was a perfect space for our girls getaway! Note- there is no elevator that we could find. So know ahead of time everything needs carried up and down several flights of stairs. note- if you plan to stay early June the beach at 70th street is a very large senior week hangout spot. According to a police officer that I spoke to this is a yearly occurrence. We had to drive up a few streets for a more peaceful beach setting. I share because I thought staying away from the boardwalk would avoid the teenagers but it did not! Note- there is no early checkin unless you want to pay extra even if the condo is ready.

This is a terrific unit as close to the surf as you can get. Nice location, walkable to supermarket and good restaurants. Unfortunately, the lease agreement had several unreasonable terms not disclosed on Airbnb, and even though we booked it six weeks ahead, we only received the lease agreement required to check-in on the day of our arrival. I would suggest not booking this unit unless you request and review the actual lease agreement ahead of time. Like many beach houses, this unit is old and not very well maintained -- lots of stuff broken, cleaning between guests is pretty cursory. The lease puts the burden on renters to report any problems within 2 hours or it becomes the renter's responsiblity, so it took us a couple hours to photograph everything broken and stained when we arrived and send it to the host. The lease also limits your recourse in court, unit is "as-is", lease allows them to charge your credit card without permission. It's pretty lop sided.

Everything went great, except a few things. Very clean, pretty and close to the boardwalk. The only problem was the parking and communication. Some online sites said one spot and others said two. We didn’t assume, but were wondering if it’s two because the place sleeps more than a car full. They texted to tell us if we need anything. I asked about parking and never received a response.

Great location and super clean! Only reason we won’t leave 5 stars is because the hosts sent way too many messages beforehand and throughout our stay. It felt like we were being sold something every other day. Otherwise would recommend!

This stay was distressing & not suitable. The home was not properly cleaned upon arrival & key details were not disclosed in the listing. 2 bedrooms were located in the basement including the kid’s room directly next to an exterior entrance, which I was not informed of beforehand. I didn’t feel safe with my kids sleep downstairs in a cold basement while I was upstairs. There were serious privacy concerns; the livingroom windows had no blinds or long curtains & the screen door blinds were missing, leaving the home exposed. Especially at night, as an all female group this was unsafe. When concerns were expressed the Host was dismissive & focused on the size of the home rather than addressing cleanliness safety or privacy. There was no empathy despite traveling out of state with kids, groceries, luggage & personal belongings. After complying with checkout & no longer being inside the home, I was told police were on the way while waiting curbside for my driver in freezing weather with kids
