“We had our family (grooms family) stay at the Bear Cliff Lodge for our son’s wedding at Chanticlaire next door. The lodge is amazing and the views are breathtaking. There were plenty of comfortable rooms for the family and everyone loved the lodge. The place was like brand new, well appointed, and squeaky clean. Would highly recommend.”

The host was friendly, responsive, and made the entire check-in and check-out process easy. We truly felt at home and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended!”

“This was a great spot, which turned out to be a GEM since we landed on a weekend when Market 42 was having their monthly open market. The bread at Wild Ember was amazing (go on the day they make Chocolate Fig!!!), the Harvest House is a great eco-conscious concept and beautifully done. The Salt Spa, the couple were so lovely and we chatted with them about the area and they were so helpful!! If we had more time we would have used their salt therapy sauna! The home had all the very fun spaces, games, and comfort. Very well-kept and exactly what we needed. This location was picked specifically so that we could travel and visit several different places, Swallow Falls (20min), Deep Creek (15-20min), and Fallingwater Terrace (Frank Lloyd Wright home 40-45min). Perfect jump off point for all these must-see spots - and more!”

“We had a great stay overall. The views were absolutely immaculate, and the house had everything we needed—from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable living spaces and plenty of beds for our group. Our only real complaint was the parking situation. We had guests traveling from Maine, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and even Japan, and we weren’t aware of the 7-car limit until after booking. Had that been more clearly communicated upfront, it would have made planning much easier. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.”
