4.65Visit website
Railey Vacations's guest rating of 4.65 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“We had a great stay overall. The views were absolutely immaculate, and the house had everything we needed—from a well-stocked kitchen to comfortable living spaces and plenty of beds for our group. Our only real complaint was the parking situation. We had guests traveling from Maine, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and even Japan, and we weren’t aware of the 7-car limit until after booking. Had that been more clearly communicated upfront, it would have made planning much easier. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.”airbnb

“On the outside, Discover Serendipity seems to be a nice location for a getaway. However, the house seems to have been built with lower quality building materials, the bathrooms had visible gaps in the walls/showers, there was excessive water damage by the maintenance door near the pool and we were constantly finding bugs despite keeping the doors closed. The kitchen also did not have all the described amenities. Trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and dish soap were not provided and we had to purchase these in addition to basic cookies supplies during our trip. For the amount we paid, we expected a bit more basic essentials to be provided. Lastly, maintenance workers showed up unannounced without advanced noticed from the hosts while we were using the pool and hot tub.”airbnb

“Overall, our stay was okay, but there were several issues that significantly impacted our experience. Communication from the host was often slow, and we had to wait long time before being able to access the gate. We also experienced issues with both grills, which were out of gas and unusable upon arrival. It took about a day for someone to come out and replace the gas, which was disappointing since we had planned to use them during our stay. Additionally, we were told that a partial refund would be provided for the inconvenience, but later we were informed that the guest first needed to purchase the gas and submit receipts before reimbursement could be processed. The process was confusing and not clearly communicated. We also felt that some of the verification requirements requested by the host were excessive and unnecessary. While the property itself was acceptable, these issues made the stay more difficult than expected.”airbnb

“They promised some supplies to start out with, however there was no oil for cooking at all and very little salt, pepper, plenty of other seasonings most people don't use! No Toilet paper at all.... No coffee pods for the coffee maker, no trash bags, lucky we brought most ourself, otherwise it was a nice stay. The garage you can not lock at all, so anyone likes to come in through the garage door, can just do so...”airbnb

“Surprised at how little comfort amenities - basic toiletries, etc given the price.”airbnb

“Nearly everything was great however given the name “Caddyshack” you would think they kept up to date golf passes for the course it’s located on. We were unable to golf during our stay because the passes were outdated which was a major reason we booked the stay.”airbnb

“Our stay was great! We came with a large group and were able to comfortably spend time inside and outside. The lake front view was nice, the kitchen was plenty big, it was pretty easy to find, and there is a Walmart about 20 minutes away for last minute shopping. Having to bring our own trash bags, hand soap, and dish soap was weird given how much we paid per night. We were expecting a grill based on the listing photos, but there were none. Overall great time though, thanks!”airbnb

“I loveeee this place, location was great definitely need 4wd if snow. quiet, peaceful and roomy. I love the way the place is decorated. I will say the cleaning company needs to clean the shower better as the main bedroom shower had mold. Dishwasher also has alot of mold. They did have handsoap which was nice and utensils from what I read i wasnt sure. No need to pack those. Only other other thing id say is the hot tub top should be moved it blocks the view of the moutain leaving you to look at the house instead.”airbnb

“⭐️☆☆☆☆ – Serious safety hazard, reimbursement warranted This stay involved a serious and unacceptable safety hazard. The area directly in front of the house entrance was covered in ice and had not been cleared or treated in any way. As a direct result of this negligence, one of our guests slipped and fell while entering the property. Providing safe access to the home is a basic responsibility of the host, especially during winter conditions. Failing to address known icy conditions created a dangerous environment and put guests at risk of injury. This incident caused significant distress and disrupted our stay. Given the unsafe conditions and the injury that occurred, we are seeking reimbursement. We strongly advise the host to address winter maintenance immediately. We would not recommend this property unless proper safety measures are taken. The property was unsafe upon arrival. Ice was present directly in front of the main entrance and had not been cleared or salted. One of our guest”airbnb
