North Woods Maine Cabins in Rockwood, Maine

“Such a beautiful spot! Cabin is exactly how is looks in photos with plenty of space for everyone, including our dogs. Very private, quiet, and peaceful with only one to two neighbors (who were not often home) but with good wooded area in between. Tons of amenities in and out of the cabin with kayaks, canoes, firewood, kitchen appliances (including a crockpot!), and pretty much any household item we needed. There was even very good internet! Plenty of hiking, fishing, boating, etc with Greenville only about 40 minutes away (the moose pond loops are must see and easy!). Otherwise, you do have a general store not too far. We did see a few mice while we were there, but it is camp after all. I just wish a more pet friendly option was utilized to take care of the mice. Overall, this was an excellent spot to relax and unwind, we look forward to coming back next year!”

“We had a wonderful weekend stay in Rockwood! The place was beautiful, quiet, clean, and comfortable—exactly what we were hoping for. We really enjoyed the peaceful location and being so close to Mt. Kineo and everything the Moosehead Lake area has to offer. The boat landing is also nearby and just a short drive away. The neighbors were incredibly friendly as well. We actually lost a wallet off the top of our car, and they went out of their way to find us and return it, which we really appreciated! We also rented a pontoon from the Lawrences and spent a day out on the lake. The boat was very nice, and we would definitely recommend renting one if you’re staying here—it was one of the highlights of our weekend. We had a great experience all around and would absolutely stay here again!”

“We loved our stay here! We finally found the perfect combo--a peaceful, quiet lake with a beautiful, clean, comfortable cabin. We love that this lake doesn't have loud boats and people. The cabin has easy access to the lake for swimming and kayaking. Beautiful views. A very relaxing stay.”

“We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin had plenty of space for our family of 4 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs. The loft was a great bonus, and having 3 bathrooms made everything so convenient. The kids especially loved the jacuzzi bath! The location was exactly what we were looking for; peaceful, beautiful, and surrounded by nature. The yard was fantastic, and the fireplace overlooking Brassua Lake was such a special touch. We loved the wraparound deck, watching the hummingbirds, and simply enjoying the gorgeous views with a cup of coffee. Having the canoes available was another highlight. We loved being able to get out on the lake to explore and do a little fishing. Plus we brought floats to enjoy the lake. It truly felt like the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy time together with limited cell service to unwind. We would absolutely stay here again!”
