The place was cute, but unfortunately it didn’t feel as clean or comfortable as we expected for the price. We noticed stains on the pillows, the blankets felt itchy, and there were a few cleanliness issues in the bathroom. We ended up leaving a little early. Overall, it had potential, but the stay was a bit disappointing

we extended our time twice during our reservation. we have not been so relaxed and felt at home as we did here in the AFrame cottage. This cottage deserves a rating way above 5 star. thank you for any amazing stay. Denise

Beautifully renovated space and a gorgeous location. Loved our stay and very convenient to everything. Our only slight negatives were no AC as it was in the 90’s during our stay. And the exterior of the complex is not up to the same quality of the unit itself. Otherwise a perfect stay!

I had a wonderful stay at Split Rock Cottage. My parents used to rent it every summer when I was a child(20 years ago now) and it was so fun to bring my girlfriend and a few of our friends to experience this place. The only things that have changed were just a few improvements, like the dining room and awesome master bedroom additions. Loved the variety of board games and DVDs. The lawn facing the lake has been cleared up more since I was a child, there were trees there and now that they are gone the sunset and lake views are incredible! The house was very neat, clean and well looked after. The only negative things I have to say about the place is the tap water has a bit of a sulfur smell to it, so bring your own drinking water but otherwise that wasn’t an issue for us. The upstairs loft also gets very hot at night. I would recommend split rock cottage! On a side note, I highly did not appreciate the nosy neighbor. Not worth elaborating on but this really killed the vibe.
