Different check-in and checkout times from AirBnB website; close to busy road; partially obstructed driveway on curve; steep walk to water, with lots of trash in water; limited number of plugs, with no 3-prong.

The house and the area are lovely. The communication was through an agency who insisted on texting outside the AirBnB platform, even after we insisted communication remain in AirBnB. The trash from the previous tenants was never picked up, even after animals threw it all over the yard. We cleaned it up and notified them, requested they take it away, but they never did. Lastly, there's construction happening nextdoor, so trucks and jackhammering during the week (not a reflection in my rating, but a heads up to any potential visitors - a little warning would've been nice).

A fantastic Maine cottage right on the water with everything you need. Perfect spot for couples looking to relax in quiet Cundys Harbor. I would definitely stay here again if returning to the Harpswell area!

I wish there was an option to give a 4.5 rating b/c although this place didn't make a 5.0 rating for me, but it deserved higher than a 4.0, and I would definitely return: - Great location with water view and stunning sunset - RELAXING sun room - Close to all 4 of my favorite places in Bailey's Island: Giant's Stairs, Land's End, Bowdoin Coastal Studies Center, and Henry Allen's Seafood (to purchase live lobsters and crabs) - Clean house (except under the microwave) - Things that could be improved: liquid hand soap came out with rust in kitchen and all bathrooms, wifi password was different between the email and binder, the staircase leading to the water was broken, blinds weren't working well, no cooking oil or salt available as advertised

My honest overall review of this house would definitely be 4 stars mostly due to the view and the kitchen. The Pros: 1)The view is stunning. 2)The tide pools were a family favorite. 3)The area is peaceful. 4)The home has a very well stocked kitchen. We love to cook and that made our trip so much nicer. 5)The house was well stocked with puzzles, books and games. With multiple tables and seats, we had a lot of room for everyone to spread out and share activities. 6) there were plenty of towels. Which is always nice with a big group. The cons: 1)if our kids had been under 5, we definitely wouldn’t have been comfortable here. Too many height dangers. 2)The sun comes up VERY early in the summer. We were visiting in June and the sun was up before 5 am. None of which would have bothered us, except there were no blackout curtains or shades and it woke our kids up. 3)There were rusty roofing nails EVERYWHERE outside. We picked up handfuls. We would definitely stay here again. ❤️
