The house and location were nice but we didn't feel welcome. The price of the stay was for a luxury home but we don't feel the host treated it as such. The bathroom toiletries were hotel style (small and insufficient). Same with kitchen and laundry soaps. We purchased dishwasher and hand soap and basic kitchen supplies like tea and salt. One of the TVs wasn't setup and the audio system wasn't working. The pool had a heating fee of $200/day. The host and a repair truck showed up unannounced for a non emergency repair.

Had an awesome time at the cottage! Quiet neighborhood and very pet friendly house. The fenced yard is a huge plus - back and front are fenced, and there’s a gate at the side of the house so you can keep your dog on one side of the house or the other. We felt right at home and our dog had a great time too! Highly recommend this location!

What a beautiful house in a lovely setting! The historic details with modern kitchen and baths made this a perfect home base for exploring this lesser known part of the Maine coast. Proximity to Schoodic Peninsula (part of Acadia National Park) allowed for great hiking and incredible views. Some great restaurants are close by. We particularly liked the Tree House in Winter Harbor and the “Pickled Wrinkle” in Birch Harbor. The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We especially loved the backyard fire pit. Having dogs in tow, we REALLY appreciated the fenced yard. Views of the sunset from the front yard were just stunning. We will definitely be back!
