“Quiet spot on the lake when you are there. Great cabin to have a fire outside.”

“Gorgeous location for our last family summer trip. The kayaks and SUPs were a huge bonus. We found the pond to be perfect as a family with two small kids, as it was shallow for quite a ways out, which made for a ton of water fun for us all! We were, however, bummed to have some issues while we were there with things not be as thoroughly cleaned as they should have been (e.g., crumbs all over the dining room table, a fridge that didn’t seem to be wiped down—inside or out). But our biggest issue was the GIANT heap of trash that had been left right next to the front door, and this garbage remained there for 3.5 days. We had to move it from the door as it was a safety issue with animals, and outright just stunk. I tried reaching out again and again, only to receive the same response that they’d look into from multiple different people at what must be the property management company. Long story short, we were finally told that trash pickup isn’t until Tuesdays. I’m hoping they can figure out how to remove the garbage from the property for future guest. Animals had in fact rifled through it a night continuing to make an even nastier mess and safety/health issue. Another thing to note for anyone with small kids or older adults needing to use the upstairs bedrooms, the bottom part of the stairs are very challenging as they drop off the side due to the low ceiling of the A-frame. There is no railing, so this makes it difficult to navigate. Overall, we really did have a nice time when we weren’t having to deal with those issues. The view is beautiful and it’s well stocked with towels, laundry supplies, etc. and even things for the kiddos.”

“Great cabin, beautiful view! Check-in was easy. Upstairs gets really hot but they did have extra fans we were able to use. Refrigerator was not working very well, we had to keep food/milk in the freezer all week to keep it cold. Freezer would freeze ice but that’s about it. Someone did communicate with us about coming by to fix fridge but there was no follow up so I have no idea if they ever came. Problem was not fixed. I still really enjoyed the stay and cabin though. No issues that couldn’t be easily resolved.”

“A great stay for a family that wants to enjoy some peace and quiet and enjoy the outdoors in Maine! Great location by a relatively large pond with provided kayaks and paddleboards, they definitely provided a balance challenge! Great for making smores at the firepit on site with provided wood and you could see so many stars at nightfall. A solid 35-40 minutes from nearby Ellsworth and around 50 minutes to get to Bar Harbor, which gave us a good balance of enjoying the outdoors and doing some touristy things. Would have no problem visiting again!”
